Paper or plastic?

January 5, 2004 at 6:55 pm (General)

At Zellers during the holidays, my purchases were packed by members of NAMBLA-Montreal section. At the grocery store, my food was packed by Plateau Pole Dancers, Associated. Yesterday, at Ikea, my stuff is handed to me by the St-Laurent Midget Tossing Teams, who look to medal at the provincial championships this year. Every time some retainer-wearing, zit-ridden prepubescent drone hands me my bags, I’m expected to contribute to whatever fund they have. I hate getting suckered in like that. Honest, part of the cost of my purchase is supposed to pay the cashier’s minimum wage, so why do I have to give even more afterward?
